Unique Quinceanera Invitations

June 17th, 2010

Spending a ton of time planning your quinceanera party does no good if no one shows up! Be sure to send out invitations are to let all your friends and loved ones know about the party. As part of your planning for your perfect quinceanera, you’ll have to either create or buy invitations to send to all of your guests.  For many reasons physical invitations are the best way to let everyone when the big day will be. Emails can easily be overlooked, phone messages might be missed, and even telling your guest in person may result in them forgetting the date. Even if you only have a modest budget you will be able to buy or create the perfect invitations for your party.

Your invitations can be designed in any way your heart desires. They can be anything from bright and dazzling to simplistic and elegant.  The way you decide to get your invitations depend in part on how much you are able to spend on your invitations. If your quinceanera party has a specific theme, you will want to design your invitations to match. One easy money saving tip is to deliver your invitations to their recipients in person.  Postage can add up quickly! If you do this be sure to distribute your invitations in such a way that won’t cause offence to those who are not invited.

So how do you go about creating the invitations themselves? Below are 3 ideas of how you can get the just the right invitations for your quinceanera:

An excellent, but ultimately more expensive choice is to pay a graphic artist to design you perfect quinceanera invitation.  This way you have a professional design that is made to fit perfectly with your theme. The artist will ask you what you would like the wording to be and if you would like any of your own images to be incorporated into the design. After the graphic designer has completed the project it will be placed in a computer file which can then be printed out from your own computer. Some artists may even include the printing of the invitations for free.  While the services of an established professional can be pricy is it also possible to find freelance artists or even an art student that will produce a stunning design for a reasonable fee.

Another option is to visit your local stationery or printing store. Many vendors offer a wide range of  invitation styles and colors for you to choose from. These stores will often have numerous wording samples in Spanish and English languages. At times the number of quinceanera invitation styles that are specifically designed for quinceanera parties may be limited. In addition there are a number of online retailers where you can design your whole invitation online and they will print and ship them to you. One of the great benefits of getting you invitations this way is that you can easily order matching envelopes and response cards that will perfectly match the style of the invitation itself.

Another great (and the most fun!) option is to design and print the invitations yourself or with the help of a friend or family member. Don’t be discourages if you feel you don’t have enough artistic ability. A little bit of imagination goes a long way, and you may very well be surprised with what you are able to make. There are any number of art mediums you can use such as painting, drawing, or even making a collage out of photographs. After you are done simply make as many photocopies of the invitation as you need. Don’t forget to save the original! It is will make for a great memory in the future. You may even want to frame it or add it to a scrapbook! Speaking of scrapbooks, you can also use paper crafting tools and techniques to create the perfect invitation to match your quinceanera party’s theme. If this sounds like it will take too much time you may want to look into the DIY invitation kits which can be bought from a number of retailers. Kits such as this are basically blank invitations with a template to help you make them your own.
